Tutankhamun Touring Exhibitions
The first two out of these three exhibitions spent five years touring the UK, Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia (quickly becoming the most successful touring exhibition that Australia had ever seen). These tours aimed to showcase magnificent Egyptian artefacts to as many people as possible whilst explaining the history of the Ancient Egyptian Culture, as well as generate revenue for the construction of Cairo’s Grand Egyptian Museum.
The third and final touring exhibition in this collection commemorated the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Tutakhamun’s tomb; it included over 150 authentic artefacts, more than 60 of which travelled outside of Egypt for the first time.
TESS Demountable is extremely proud to have been the sole supplier of modular showcases for three of the world’s greatest ever touring exhibitions. In each of the three exhibitions, the priceless artefacts were protected within 100 TESS Evolution Modular Display Cases; the flexibility and security of the Evolution system was a perfect match for such a dynamic, fast-moving series of exhibitions.
